About Us
The Redwood Empire Bass Club is a group of anglers who meet to discuss different fishing techniques and out regional lakes. We have 11 tournaments per year for club members, January thru November, and an open tournament in December. We will also be having our first annual Spring Open Tournament to be held on March 25, 2023 at Lake Sonoma. Club tournaments are team and draw format for members. Regular yearly tournaments are done on a random draw basis as boater and co-angler. The Club Open events allows members or potential members to pick their own partner. The Club is open to everyone from beginners to the more experienced. The hope is to share the fishing knowledge and experiences to make us all better anglers. Members come from Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Lake County, and Mendocino Counties. The Redwood Empire Bass Club supports Catch and Release. In addition, all safe boating rules and regulations apply of a governing body and Fish & Wildlife care procedures.
Our annual dues are only $80 or pro-rated based on the month joining the club. A member is voted in after attending 3 club events (meetings and tournaments).
Our Club primarily fishes the regional lakes including Lake Sonoma, Clear Lake, Lake Berryessa, and the California Delta. We also schedule one two-day tournament at a distant lake such as Lake Shasta or New Bullards Bar Reservoir. In all, it is a great chance to fish with different people and start to understand what bass fishing about. The complete annual schedule is available at the club website listed below.
No boat required to become a member. Just a passion for fishing is all that we ask. Come check out our monthly meetings held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at Mountain Mike’s Pizza - 6314 Commerce Blvd, Rohnert Park, starting at 7pm. Hope to see you at our next meeting!
